The chalet really is in an ideal location just a 10 minute stroll from the village centre where you will find everything to cater for your needs from a swimming pool to a supermarket! Airports nearby are Salzburg - 90kms and 1 hour 15 minutes’ drive aways, and Munich, which is 200kms and 2 1/2 hours’ drive. It is also possible to fly to Innsbruck which is approx 90 mins away. There are excellent rail connections to Zell and onwards to Kaprun if you do not wish to hire a car. There is a regular train service to Zell am See and also coach transfers from Salzburg summer and winter direct to Kaprun.
Our chalet is located in a beautiful traditional Austrian village, yet it offers all the amenities that you could desire for your stay. Winter or summer, there is something for everyone. A dazzling new spa is due to be completed by the end of 2010. Its facilities will include 8 swimming pools, 17 treatment rooms, 9 massage rooms and 5 beauty rooms. There are over 40 sports to choose from - and we particularly recommend the world-class golf course, the cycling and the high ropes activities – for adults and children alike. Kaprun Castle is well worth a visit. It is very close to the house and can be seen in one of the photos.
People from across the world come to the first class skiing location of Kaprun and enjoy the excellent and friendly après ski. Situated at the foot of the awesome Kitzsteinhorn Glacier standing at 3,029m Kaprun offers year-round skiing possibilities.
Whether you come for the skiing or the ambience and relaxing break, Kaprun has something for everyone. Together with picturesque Zell am See, Kaprun makes up the Europa Sports Region offering 3 ski areas with over 130kms (81 miles) of piste!

Firstly, the Maiskogel ski area is situated in the centre of the village about 850m from the house. It is also known as the Family Ski Area, offering great fun for beginners or intermediates. There is an abundance of blue runs and a red running down the centre. There is also a snow park and wonderful tracks and scenery.

Next is the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier which offers a much wider range of piste including powder, but this is still ideal for beginners. It is serviced by a wonderful gondola and lift combination and the views are stunning.
Zell am See's 75km (47 miles) of trails make up around three-fifths of the Europa Sport Region and are largely located on the Schmittenhöhe mountain behind the town.

Advanced skiers have several long medium-steep blacks descending through the forest back down to the resort to enjoy, several usually mogulled, and Zell has a reputation for good off-piste powder when conditions are right. Zell am See's sunny slopes do have good snow-making cover on nearly two thirds of the piste. This is our favourite ski area with beautiful tree lined skiing.
Cross country skiers have up to 200km (125 miles) of trails around the valley, including a 10km (6 miles) track on frozen Lake Zell, a 6km illuminated track at Kaprun and a 3km high altitude trail on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier at 2,900 metres.
There are many excursions, activities and sports in the area all year round highlighted on our visit our visitor information page.
